Line 21; "legend, language"
Sound device: alliteration
Legend is something unreal. Often times it has a positive connotation but in this context, it illustrates the acceptance of Lazarus' death. Lazarus is "language" in a way that he is something that can now be referred to, he becomes a concept. The use of alliteration joins the idea of wanting to specify something but it is too great to be pin-pointed (legend) and the fact that it is not real anymore (language) is reinforced.
